On November 1st, 2014 the Employees of Vermont Computing, Inc purchased the assets of the company from the founder and formed Vermont Computing Cooperative. Here are some questions we are asked regularly:

A worker cooperative?

A worker cooperative is a type of business where the employees are also the owners of the business and decisions are made democratically. Our transition and purchase of the company was assisted by the New England Cooperative Fund and the Vermont Employee Ownership Center.

What changes have you made?

Very few. We’re trying to keep things as seamless as possible for our clients. We’re trying to add new features and offerings in addition to the existing ones than make changes.

Who are the owners?

The current owners are all former staff members of Vermont Computing, Inc. Ian Stewart, Robert Holman, Matt Gustafson and one more. We meet regularly to discuss the direction of the company and make decisions.

Where’s Jeremy?

Happily running his new company, whistlekick! Check it out!

Did the prices for service or computers change?

Nope. Not one bit.

Are you taking on new clients?

Yes! We could use the support! We have service contracts available for personal or commercial clients and the shop is always happy to take your device in for service.
